The Upper Holme Valley provides some of the finest walking country imaginable. The Pennine Way runs though our moor and visitors can experience watching the Tour of Britain Cycle Race when it passes though Holme in September each year and takes the gruelling Holme Moss climb to task! Holmfirth is three miles away and provides a wide selection of eating places to suit every taste. Here you can find most of your everyday needs, a good supermarket and a good variety of gift and souvenir shops. Holmfirth has an annual Music Festival, Band Contest and Folk Festival and is also the home of Bamforth Postcards. Holmfirth is also the location of the popular BBC TV programme 'Last of the Summer Wine'.

We are situated in the Peak District National Park and are within easy reach of the Derbyshire Dales, North York Moors National Park, Yorkshire Dales National Park and the major cities of Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield.

Huddersfield is just 10 miles away. The M1 and M62 are within easy reach. The Colne Valley which is five miles away, is the location for ITV's 'Where the Heart is'.
