It would be impossible to find a more comfortable and cosy cottage. Everything is perfect here. There is consideration in every detail: luxurious towels and linen, immaculate bathrooms and a kitchen equipped with all utensils down to the garlic press. And of course there is the view. No guests could not be overawed by its magnificence and splendour. But surpassing all is the warmest of welcomes from Viv, Jim and family. We have enjoyed their company and formed what we hope will be a long lasting friendship. Many thanks for all your kindness and hospitality. You have made our stay a very happy one.

I came to this house with two strangers and left with two friends. On a long journey up from London I was worried I would find it hard to settle for the three weeks we would be staying here.  How wrong I was! The house is immaculate. The owner is proud. Her son is quinty and polite and the land which he farms is stunning to wake up to every morning. My only regret is that we had very little opportunity to see the beautiful village of Holmfirth. That is something which I would like to change in the future! Prosperity and great health for the New Year! Xx
