Directions to the Cottages
From M1 South
- Exit the M1 at Junction 35a
- At junction 35a, take the A616 exit to Manchester
- At the roundabout, take the second exit onto A616 heading to Manchester/A628
- Go through one roundabout
- At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto A628
- Sharp right at A6024
- Climb hill up to Holme Moss on Woodhead Road
- Follow road towards Holme Village
- Cottages first properties on the right in Lane Village
From M1 North
- Exit the M1 at Junction 37 head northwest though Silkstone towards Hoylandswaine roundabout
- At the roundabout take the first exit heading towards Manchester /A628
- Go though 1 roundabout
- At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A629/Halifax Road continue to follow A629
- Turn left onto A635 Holmfirth Road
- Continue to follow A635 to Holmfirth
- Turn left ont A6024 Huddersfield Road
- Continue to follow A6024
- Proceed for approximately 3 miles on this road to the village of Holme.
- Pass the Fleece Inn on the right hand side after the cobbled square, the bus turnaround is on your left
- From the bus turnaround follow the road up over brow of hill to see Girl Guide Cottage on your left
- Farm buildings can be seen on the right hand side, follow road through left hand bend
- The Cottage cobbled entrance is on the left hand side opposite the white house.
